Brussels, 20/06/2006 (Agence Europe) - The SSIG-FR association, consisting of 14 French social and healthcare provision service federations, has given its support to the Belgian minister of social and health affairs, Rudy Demotte's appeal for setting up a common sectoral directive for social and health services that recognises that they are services of general interest, that they ensure coherency within the Community framework and enhance the Union's transparency (EUROPE 9209).
