20/06/2006 (Agence Europe) - In Luxemburg on 19 June, a large majority of European agriculture ministers backed the objectives and measures of the action plan on forests put forward by the European Commission on 15 June (see EUROPE 9213). Some delegations insisted on the need to support the use of the forest biomass to produce energy. The Council is expected to adopt conclusions on this issue under Finnish Presidency.
