12/06/2006 (Agence Europe) - By request of Italy, whose new government has just been set in place, the Transport Council decided on Friday to postpone the adoption of the proposed decision to allow the Community to sign the “Transport” protocol of the Alpine Convention. The objective of this convention is to safeguard the natural ecosystem and promote the sustainable development of the Alps.
