12/06/2006 (Agence Europe) - Just a few days before the European Council, during the Franco-British summit at the Elysée on 9 June, President Chirac and Prime Minister Blair said that “a longer reflection period” was necessary for the European Constitution. Furthermore, they said they hoped a high-level group would be set up for the armaments programme, and announced in a joint statement the creation of a Franco-British “nuclear forum”.
