ThyssenKrupp and EADS takeover Atlas Elektronik

Brussels, 11/05/2006 (Agence Europe) - On 10 May the European Commission approved the proposed acquisition of the German naval electronics supplier Atlas Elektronik by ThyssenKrupp Technologies AG and EADS Deutschland. Atlas Elektronik formerly owned by UK defence company BAE Systems, is a supplier of naval and civil electronics, sonar systems, torpedoes and mine systems for submarines and naval vessels, as well as maritime safety systems for civilian applications.
