11/05/2006 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday 11 May, the European Commission decided formally to extend the regional import ban on Bulgarian poultry, poultry meat and meat products, ratites, game and hatching eggs. The ban will now be extended to cover the Burgas region in eastern Bulgaria. This decision, which was approved by the Standing Committee on the Food Chain and Animal Health on 20 May, is linked to the discovery of a further outbreak of Newcastle Disease in this region in mid-April....
