11/05/2006 (Agence Europe) - On 16 May, the Commission is expected to adopt a draft decision setting up the Fiscalis programme 2007-2003 combating tax fraud (see EUROPE 8936). The main aims of this programme are to improve exchange of information between national tax authorities, to improve the fight against fraud and illegal trade, and to reduce red tape for those subject to tax. Fiscalis 2007-2013 will also be open to candidate countries.
