Brussels, 04/05/2006 (Agence Europe) - In Brussels on 25 April, the EP women's rights and equality of opportunity committee adopted the own-initiative report by Livia Jaroda (EPP-ED, Hungary) on the conditions of Roma women and called for measures to combat the extreme levels of multiple discrimination faced by these women on the grounds of both ethnicity and gender. The report will be submitted for scrutiny and adoption at the May plenary session in Brussels.
