Parliamentary committee gives go-ahead to EU-Morocco Agreement

Brussels, 04/05/2006 (Agence Europe) - On 3 May, with the adoption of the draft report by Daniel Varela Suanzes-Carpegna (EPP-ED, Spain) by 21 votes to 4 and 8 abstentions, the Fisheries Committee approved the text of the EU-Morocco Fisheries Agreement due to take effect on 1 June this year. The Parliament will give its advisory opinion on this fisheries agreement on 16 May in Strasbourg, thus allowing European Fisheries Ministers to adopt the regulation during their next meeting on 22 and...
