Brussels, 18/04/2006 (Agence Europe) - Danuta Hübner, European Commissioner responsible for regional policy, met with Anca Boagiu, Minister of European Integration for Romania on 12 April to discuss the present state of preparations of the country for European Union's regional policy support (the legislative framework, the institutional structures, administrative capacity, programming of the structural instruments, and financial management and control) after the planned accession in 2007. A Commission press release explains that Commissioner Hübner congratulated the Romanian government on significant progress in preparation of the National Strategic Reference Framework (NSRF) and the Operational Programmes for the period 2007-2013, adding that further effort is required to complete the preparation of management of regional policy in Romania.
