12/04/2006 (Agence Europe) - European Union ambassadors meeting on 11 April within the Political and Security Committee (COPS) spoke of possibly extending the mandate of the EU mission in favour of rule of law (EUJUST LEX) in Iraq by 18 months. Launched in summer 2005, the mission is to come to an end on 30 June 2006. EU foreign ministers are expected to formally adopt a decision (joint action) in coming weeks.
