12/04/2006 (Agence Europe) - Among the initiatives planned around 9 May, the anniversary of the Schuman Declaration, the Robert Schuman Association chaired by Paul Collowald, ex-journalist and former Director General for information at the European Parliament, is holding a conference at Robert Schumann's house in Scy-Chazelles (Mosel, France) 16 May, on the subject Europe in crisis: a breakdown or just a break?, to be chaired by Mr Collowald. On 12 May, the vice-president of the European Commission, Jacques Barrot, will hold a conference at the General Council of Mosel. On 14 May, Ursula Koch, a Munich University professor and member of the interdisciplinary research team on the satiric image, will speak on the subject of Europe in caricature from the 18th to the 20th century. This Europe Week is organised in partnership with the European Robert Schuman Centre.
