ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) energy

German group SIEMENS has signed a contract with the Austrian firm ANDRITZ to sell it VA TECH HYDRO. The acquisition is said to have cost ANDRITZ between 180 and 190 million euro. VA TECH HYDRO employs about 3,000 people and has a turnover of 871 million euro.
