BNP PARIBAS has increased from 3.8% to 9.4% its stake in South Korean group SHINHAN FINANCIAL (net profits 1.45 billion euro, 15,000 employees and over 20 million customers) for some 800 million euro, making it the group's largest shareholder. BNP PARIBAS has acquired virtually all the shares in South Korean insurance group KDIC - KOREA DEPOSIT INSURANCE CORP.
