03/04/2006 (Agence Europe) - The EU Council has approved extended application of the Dublin II and Eurodac regulations to Denmark. In December 2005, the EP had taken a stance in favour of such an extension (EUROPE 9093). The Council's decision of 21 February is published in the Official Journal (OJ) L66 of 8 March 2006 and takes effect two months after notification by the contracting parties that their respective procedures have been completed.
