22/03/2006 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday, Sweden Foreign Affairs Minister Laila Freivalds announced her resignation, after being accused of limiting freedom of expression and lying during the Muhammed cartoons affair. Mrs Freivalds was accused of exerting pressure on a small extreme right Swedish party, the Swedish Democrats, to bring an end to its competition on drawings of Muhammed on the Internet in February.
