08/02/2006 (Agence Europe) - On 7 February CFSP High Representative Javier Solana welcomed the 100,000 journey made to the Rafat border between Gaza and Egypt since its reopening on 25 November 2005 under the monitoring of the EU Union Assistance Mission led by General Pietro Pistolese. Mr Solana welcomed in a press statement, the improvement created by the opening of the border, in the daily lives of Palestinians and in their economic situation.
