27/01/2006 (Agence Europe) - The plans to create a joint company between Flaga GmbH and Progas GmbH & Co KG may see the light of day. The Commission has authorised the operation between the two companies, which specialise in the distribution and wholesale and retail sales of liquid petroleum gas (LPG). Flaga is held by the American company Eastfield International Holdings and Progas is controlled by Familie Julius Thyssen Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH. The Commission found that the combined market share of Flaga and Progas led to no particular problems on the Austrian, German and Polish markets, nor on those where the new entity will mainly be present (the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and Romania).
