Brussels, 27/01/2006 (Agence Europe) - The European Parliament delegation for relations with Israel is to hold, on 2 February in Brussels, a meeting that will make an analysis of the situation in the Middle East after last Sunday's Palestinian elections and with a view to the Israeli elections in March this year. The Israeli ambassador for the EU, Oded Eran, will take part in the exchange of views. We recall that a similar meeting of the delegation for relations with the Palestinian Legislative Council is announced for 31 January. On 1 February, during the plenary in Brussels, the Parliament will discuss the results of the elections in Palestine and the situation in the Middle East as well as the Council decision not to make the report on East Jerusalem public (see also other article).
