The takeover battle for Canada's DOFASCO is continuing. European steel company ARCELOR has upped its hostile bid for DOFASCO to EUR 4 bn (71 Canadian dollars a share), 4% higher than the most recent bid by Germany's THYSSENKRUPP (68 Canadian dollars), backed by DOFASCO.
