06/01/2006 (Agence Europe) - The industrial production price index in the euro zone fell by 0.2% in November 2005 compared to October, when it was up 0.5% in the EU25. At an annual rate, industrial production prices progressed 4.2% in the euro zone and 5.5% in the EU25. In November 2005, compared to October 2005, prices in industry as a whole (except for energy) increased 0.1% in the euro zone and 0.2% in EU25. Prices in the energy sector fell by 1.6% in the euro zone but were up 1.5% in the EU25, which brings the annual rises in the sector to 14.8% and 20.1% respectively. In November 2005, compared to November 2004, for Member States for which data is available, the greatest rises were noted in the United Kingdom (+12.5%), Denmark (+12.1%), the Netherlands (+7.8%) and Slovakia (+7.4%). The only fall was recorded in Poland (-0.2%), while prices remained stable in the Czech Republic.
