06/01/2006 (Agence Europe) - At a meeting with the President-elect of Bolivia, Evo Morales, in Brussels on Thursday, Javier Solana gave assurances that the EU would continue to assist Bolivia in its efforts to stimulate growth and promote social justice and to combat poverty, and emphasised the importance for the new Bolivian government to reinforce political stability, democratic institutions and the rule of law, and also to ensure an environment of stability and legal certainty for international investments (see EUROPE 9103). Ahead of the EU/Latin American Summit in Vienna on 11 and 12 May, the High Representative for the CFSP encouraged Mr Morales to press ahead with the Andean community regional integration process.
