BPI - BANCA POPOLARE ITALIANA has sold its remaining shares in BANCA ANTONVENETA to ABN AMRO (Netherlands), which paid 2.1 billion euro for the 79.9 million ANTONVENETA shares, that is 26.50 euro per share. ABN AMRO now holds 55.8% of ANTONVENETA capital and will launch a takeover bid for the remainder. The same price of 26.50 euro per share will be offered.
