13/12/2005 (Agence Europe) - Meeting in the Conciliation Committee on 6 December, the European Parliament and the Council of the EU reached agreement on a regulation setting out common rules for professional drivers in terms of driving time, breaks and rest periods. The regulation makes the use of digital tachographs (spy-in-the-cab) compulsory for road transport vehicles.
