Trade unions call for measures to protect jobs

Brussels, 21/11/2005 (Agence Europe) - The national trade union federations affiliated to the ETUF: TCL (European Trade Union Federation for Textiles, Clothing, Leather and Footwear) organised a trade union action week in November, presenting national governments with their nine-point platform for 'fair and sustainable trade in textiles, clothing, leather and footwear' calling on the Commission, Member States and employers to take a series of measures to protect jobs in these sectors.
