Council criticises 'bad treatment' of Iraqi prisoners

Brussels, 21/11/2005 (Agence Europe) - President of the Council of the EU, UK foreign minister Jack Straw, briefed EU foreign ministers on Monday on his recent visit to Baghdad and Basra, saying he was encouraged by the Iraqis' progress. Speaking to reporters, Straw stressed the importance of the 15 December general elections in Iraq.
