17/11/2005 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday, the Standing Committee on the Food Chain and Animal Health (SCFCAH) endorsed a Commission decision to extend until 31 January 2006 the ban on EU imports of live captive birds other than poultry, decided on 25 October 2005 and due to expire on 30 November. The SCFCAH also decided to extend restrictions on the movement of birds accompanying their owners until the end of January.
