07/11/2005 (Agence Europe) -Reijo Kemppinen of Finland, former spokesperson of the Prodi Commission, is the new head of the European Commission's Representation in London. According to The Times of 7 November, Mr Kemppinen (who was also a very active spokesperson to the Finnish Presidency of the Council of the EU) would like the people of the United Kingdom to stop talking about "whether or not they are a member of Europe", because "the fact is that the United Kingdom is, and will continue to be, part of Europe". "I refuse to use the term Eurosceptic to define the British relationship with Europe", he said. As for his own position, he stressed: "I am employed by Europe, and I am fortunate enough to be working for a institution I believe in".
