Slovakian President says European Parliament should have fewer MEPs, who should be MPs in their own country at the same time - Idea slammed by Young European Federalists

Brussels, 03/11/2005 (Agence Europe) - The Young European Federalists (YEF) 'are astonished about negative remarks regarding the role and composition of the European Parliament expressed by some European politicians over the last few days. The latest (comes) from Slovak President Ivan Gasparovic in an interview with the German newspaper Die Welt,' on 2 November where he said the European Parliament was a money-guzzling mammoth with a huge trunk.
