France's DANONE has bought up Egyptian dairy products company OLAIT whose products will be marketed under the DANONE trademark. DANONE has set up a joint venture in Algeria with Tunisian company SOTUBI. DANONE will hold a 51% stake, and SOTUBI 49%. DANONE is increasing its stake in SOTUBI from 20% to 49%. The financial details of the deals have not been disclosed.
