ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) privatisation

- Ukraine: Ukraine has announced the three bidding companies selected for the privatisation of Ukraine's biggest steel-mill, KRIVORIJSTAL. They are the world's top two steel makers, MITTAL STEEL and ARCELOR, and Ukrainian company LLC SMART GROUP. The auctioning of 93% of KRIVORIJSTAL will be held on 24 October 2005. The starting price is USD 2 bn.
