First screening meeting for Turkey and Croatia

Brussels, 20/10/2005 (Agence Europe) - Following the political decision on 3 October to launch accession negotiations with Turkey and Croatia, the European Commission started technical work in Brussels on Thursday to pave the way for the negotiations at a first joint screening meeting with the two countries, looking at the Science and Research chapter. Europe will return to this tomorrow.
