French regional airlines call on Commission not to damage air transport

Brussels, 17/10/2005 (Agence Europe) - Jacques Bankir, President of France's Regional Airlines and member of the European Regions Airline Association Board, has 'asked the European Commission not to jeopardise the economically fragile European airline industry any further.' In a letter to Transport Commissioner Jacques Barrot, Bankir asked that the EC encourage air links between the regions of Europe in a new version of its 2001 White Paper on Transport Policy: 'The feeling which prevails...
