Commission welcomes referendum on Constitution

Brussels, 17/10/2005 (Agence Europe) - European Commissioner for External Affairs Benita Ferrero-Waldner welcomed the referendum held on 15 October on the new Constitution of Iraq, considering it was “an important step towards democracy and stability in Iraq”.
