Parliamentary Assembly calls for release of Bulgarian and Palestinian medics on death-row in Libya

Strasbourg, 07/10/2005 (Agence Europe) - Adopting in Strasbourg on Thursday the report by British Labour MEP Tony Lloyd, the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly urged Libya to release, or at least guarantee a fair trial, to the five Bulgarian nurses and the Palestinian doctor accused of contaminating 426 children in a Benghazi hospital with the AIDS virus. Eye witness reports convinced the Parliamentary Assembly that the six medics, who have already spent six and a half years behind...
