Member States support Borg to remedy crisis in fisheries sector

Brussels, 20/09/2005 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday in Brussels, EU Member State ministers on the whole supported the measures proposed by the European Fisheries Commissioner, Joe Borg, for remedying the crisis that is currently affecting fisheries, mainly since the surge in the price of fuel (see EUROPE 9027 on the memo communicated to the College of Commissioners). Mr Borg confirmed his intention of presenting a communication by the end of the year to provide Member States with directions...
