20/09/2005 (Agence Europe) - The Commission has authorised granted clearance under the EU Merger Regulation to the acquisition of sole control of Panrico of Spain by Apax Europe (Apax) of Guernsey, the Channel Islands. Apax is active in private equity investments. Panrico is primarily active in the production of packaged fresh bread, sandwiches and baked goods, as well as frozen bread and bakery products. The operation was examined under simplified merger review procedure.
