20/09/2005 (Agence Europe) - The Commission has cleared the creation of a joint venture between HeidelbergCement AG of Germany, acting through its Belgian subsidiary, Inter-Beton NV and Dutch De Hoop Terneuzen BV. The two companies, which are mainly present on the ready-mixed concrete market in Belgium and the Netherlands, will acquire the Belgian company, Mermans Beton NV, which is currently held by De Hoop.
