GENERAL NEWS / (eu) supermarkets

Swiss company DENNER (1.8 bn CHF turnover in 2004) is buying up the PICK PAY supermarket chain (turnover of more than 600 mil CHF in 2004, workforce of 1100) in Switzerland from Germany's second biggest supermarket chain, REWE. The deal could be worth around 70 million CHF.
