Brussels, 26/08/2005 (Agence Europe) - Polish MEP Maciej Giertych (Independence and Democracy), the League of Polish Families candidate in the October presidential election in Poland, has launched a campaign on his website against Poland joining the euro, explains Reuters. The campaign, called 'Zloty, Yes!' in Polish, is the brainchild of League of Polish Families MEP Sylwester Chruszcz. Giertych says on his website that 'The common currency, the euro, has its HQ in Frankfurt, and not Brussels. It is a new game for the mark, not the franc or the lira… Printing money is the prerogative of states. He who does so without the agreement of the state is a forger.'
