23/08/2005 (Agence Europe) - The first meeting of the European Commission since the summer break has been planned for Thursday 1 September, a spokesperson announced on Tuesday. She added that the main theme of discussions would be the issue of asylum and immigration (it is worth noting that an informal meeting of the Justice and Home Affairs ministers has been planned for 8 and 9 September in Newcastle).
