27/07/2005 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday France notified the European Commission of a confirmed case of “Newcastle disease” in a pheasant and partridge farm in the Loire-Atlantique region. This virus affecting poultry does not threaten human health and can be detected in birds via digestive and respiratory problems and a high death rate among the birds.
