International donors and DRC government promise further EUR 84 million to support electoral process

Brussels, 12/07/2005 (Agence Europe) - EUR 84 million (USD 100 million). This is the amount of additional support for the electoral process in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). International donors and the Congolese government made this commitment at a donors' conference on Tuesday in Brussels, under the joint chairmanship of Louis Michel, European Commissioner for development policy and William L Swing, Special Representative of the Secretary General at the UN.
