Brussels, 17/06/2005 (Agence Europe) - In Brussels on Thursday evening, the European Council opened with a very long debate, with occasionally rather heated exchanges, on the ratification of the constitutional treaty. The president of the European Parliament was involved in this debate, and also attended the dinner of Heads of State and Government (see his address: EUROPE 8970).
