Lucas Papademos concerned about economic divergence among eurozone countries - Commission to submit report to July ECOFIN meeting

Brussels, 17/06/2005 (Agence Europe) - Queried on Friday about concerns expressed on Thursday by the Vice-President of the European Central Bank, Lucas Papademos, about economic divergence among eurozone countries, Amelia Torres, spokesperson for the European Commissioner for Economic and Monetary Affairs, said that the Commission is preparing a detailed report on the issue for the July ECOFIN Council (expected to be held on 15 July, Ed.), (see Europe 8969 on comments by Caio Koch-Weser,...
