Nikiforos Diamandouros sends Commission complaint about rail link between Spain and France

Strasbourg, 14/06/2005 (Agence Europe) - The European Ombudsman, Nikiforos Diamandouros, has transferred a complaint regarding an alleged failure on the part of the French authorities to re-open a rail link between Spain and France to the European Commission. This is a stretch of rail some 60km in length, linking the magnificent monumental but abandoned railway station of Canfranc in the region of Aragon (Spain) to Oloron-Sainte-Marie in the French Department of Pyrenees Atlantiques.
