Commission launches consultation on application of financial instrument market directive

Brussels, 27/05/2005 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission is asking stakeholders to comment on a technical report by the Committee of European Securities Regulators (CESR) on application measures of Directive 2004/39/EC concerning financial instruments markets. The deadline for submitting responses is 17 July 2005. Comments concern organisational demands (Article 13) and conflicts of interest (Article 18), two areas covered by EU legislation.
