EU steps up pressure to extend “visa waiver programme” to all Member States - American response on this and biometric passports not very encouraging

Brussels, 19/05/2005 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday, the European Commission repeated its request for the American authorities to extend their “visa waiver programme”, which currently allows citizens from the old Member States of the EU, with the exception of Greece, plus citizens of Slovenia, to enter the American territory without a visa- to all the 25 Member States of the enlarged European Union as soon as possible.
