Brussels, 19/04/2005 (Agence Europe) - In March 2005 Euro-zone and EU25 annual inflation stable at 2.1%. A year earlier the rate was 1.7% in the two zones. The lowest annual rates were observed in Sweden (0.5%), Finland (0.9%), the Czech Republic (1.2%) and in Denmark (1.3%). The highest rates were recorded in Latvia (6.6%), Estonia (4.8%), Luxembourg (3.5%) and Spain (3. 4%). Compared with February 2005, annual inflation rose in thirteen Member States, fell in nine and remained stable in two. The main components with the highest annual rates in March 2005 were housing (4.3%), alcohol and tobacco (4.2%) and transport (4.1%), while the lowest annual rates were observed for communication (-1.6%), recreation and culture, and clothing (both 0.1%).
