Parliament wants matter of level of payment appropriations to be priority of budgetary procedure

Strasbourg, 15/04/2005 (Agence Europe) - With the adoption, on Wednesday, of the report by Giovanni Pittela (PES, Italy), the European Parliament gave a positive assessment of the annual political strategy report 2006 presented by the European Commission early March (EUROPE 8901). The EP decided to make the question of the level of payment appropriations a top priority of budgetary procedure in 2006, especially with a view to forthcoming negotiations on the new financial perspectives.
